Job summary

DC Army National Guard is seeking a Construction Vehicle Repairer to maintain trucks, bulldozers, power shovels, and other heavy equipment used in construction operations. You will repair brake actuators, batteries, starter motors, alternators, and more, while following maintenance schedules and learning through structured training.

Training includes Basic and Advanced Individual Training, with the potential for civilian career pathways in garage and equipment mechanics.

Qualifications

• Must be enlisted in the Army National Guard.
• Must be between ages 17 and 35.
• Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards.

Responsibilities

• Service drive shafts, universal joints, service brake shoes, water pumps, and turbochargers.
• Maintain and replace cylinder heads and high‑pressure fuel injection pumps.
• Follow maintenance schedules and troubleshoot vehicle engines, electrical systems, steering, brakes, and suspensions.
