Job summary

Evans Construction, a CRH company, is seeking a skilled equipment mechanic to repair and maintain a wide range of heavy machinery and vehicles. You will diagnose problems, dismantle devices, and perform repairs on engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems while ensuring adherence to safety standards and company policies.

The role requires at least 1–2 years of related experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to read manuals and work in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of related experience preferred.
• Ability to read safety rules and operation manuals; basic math and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots problems and makes economical, durable repairs.
• Dismantles devices to access defective parts using hoists and hand tools.
• Maintains and repairs heavy equipment, trucks, and shop equipment.
• Performs preventative maintenance including oil changes, fluid top-offs, and filter changes.
• Repairs electrical and hydraulic systems, engines, transmissions, and drive trains.
• Orders parts, maintains purchase orders and invoices, and uses computer for job data.
