Job summary

The Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) seeks an Engineering Manager – Construction to provide strategic leadership for Eastern Region’s transportation construction program. You will direct a team of engineers and construction professionals to deliver projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

This role requires close collaboration with regional and statewide leaders, external partners, and stakeholders, with travel across Washington and occasional out-of-state

Responsibilities

• Lead the construction organization in Eastern Washington and oversee project delivery.
• Interpret contract documents and provide guidance to Project Engineers.
• Coordinate activities with Headquarters, agencies and partners.
• Coach, mentor and guide construction office managers.
• Develop safety strategies and ensure safe public and workforce practices.
