Job summary

Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is seeking a Construction Project Coordinator 3 to manage multiple facility improvement and preservation projects from planning through first-year operations. You will lead project teams, coordinate staff, consultants, and contractors to deliver safe, reliable workplaces and public spaces.

Responsibilities include managing scope, schedule, budget, and regulatory compliance while guiding design and construction activities to align with WSDOT

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple facility projects through planning, scoping, design, construction, and first-year operations while following regulations and WSDOT policies.
  • Develop and update project budgets and schedules, monitor spending and critical path tasks, identify changes, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Lead project scoping and coordinate architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and other disciplines during design.
  • Lead and manage project teams through construction, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, inspections, and meetings.
  • Monitor construction progress relative to scope, budget, and schedule; prepare status reports and analyses.
  • Provide engineering or architectural guidance on standards, materials, and practices.
  • Act as project manager on occasional building or site development projects, delivering design services.
