Job summary

Qualifications

• Principles of construction engineering, contract administration, and project delivery.
• Knowledge of state/federal contracting laws and standards (RCW/WAC).
• Experience writing specifications, policies, and procedures.
• Ability to lead cross-agency coordination and training.

Responsibilities

• Provide statewide leadership and technical oversight for administration of construction projects.
• Direct and mentor regional staff in construction administration and project management.
• Develop and update statewide construction specifications and policies.
• Oversee change orders, risk assessment, and compliance with FHWA agreements.
• Represent the department in agency-industry teams and with external partners.
