Job summary

DOWL is seeking an Intern to join our Construction Engineering and Inspection team for Summer 2027 in Bellevue, WA. You will assist in managing, administering and inspecting civil infrastructure projects and in-service inspection of structures.

Work will involve site visits, engineering calculations, and documentation of existing conditions, under the guidance of experienced engineers. This paid internship offers hands-on learning, exposure to roads, bridges, walls, and reservoirs, and

Qualifications

• Pursuing a baccalaureate degree in civil engineering or construction engineering technology.
• Desireable work experience in construction or civil engineering related fields.

Responsibilities

• Establish and document existing conditions at project sites through research and site visits.
• Perform engineering calculations in support of civil construction projects.
• Conduct site visits to monitor quality and progress of work.
• Perform construction inspection of transportation and heavy civil projects.
• Assist in in-service inspection of structures including bridges and walls.
• Other engineering related duties as assigned.
