Job summary

Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering, LLC (ICE) invites ambitious Civil Engineering students to join our CEI Internship for Summer 2027. The 12-week program will place you on our teams working on roads, bridges, and utilities, with guidance from seasoned engineers and hands-on fieldwork.

You will observe construction, assist with inspections, and learn project management tools while gaining real-world experience and networking with mentors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Enrolled in accredited Civil Engineering program (Junior/Senior preferred).
• Current driver’s license with a clean 3-year driving record.
• Prior internship preferred; AutoCAD knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with monitoring, testing and conformance of client/contractor work on various projects to ensure plans, specifications, materials, traffic & erosion control devices, quality assurance and safety standards are met.
• Perform engineering inspection activities under supervision of a senior engineer, including field tests for concrete, asphalt, and earthworks.
• Ensure all materials, procedures and safety rules comply with latest DOT standards.
• Record daily construction inspection notes for CEI documentation.
• Assist engineers with development of spreadsheet tools.
• Copy and scan project related drawings.
• Other duties assigned by supervisor.
