Job summary

Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering, LLC (ICE) invites motivated civil engineering students to join our CEI internship for 12 weeks in Charleston, SC. You will work with experienced engineers on roads, bridges and utilities, applying classroom knowledge to real projects under supervision.

This onsite internship emphasizes field observations, testing, QA/QC, and transportation design support, with mentorship, professional development, and potential full-time opportunities after graduation.

Qualifications

High School Diploma required.
Enrolled in Civil Engineering or related degree program (Junior or Senior preferred).
Valid driver’s license with clean 3-year driving record.
AutoCAD experience preferred.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organization and planning abilities.
Ability to work in a team and independently.
Interest in learning in a fast-paced infrastructure industry.

Responsibilities

Assist with monitoring, testing and conformance of work to ensure plans and specs are met.
Perform field inspections and tests for concrete, asphalt, and earthworks under supervision.
Ensure materials and procedures comply with latest DOT standards.
Record daily CEI inspection notes for documentation.
Assist engineers with development of spreadsheet tools.
Copy and scan project drawings.
Other duties assigned by supervisor.
