Job summary

EDG Inc. seeks a Construction Engineer II to drive capital projects from definition through commissioning. You will help develop scope, cost estimates, and schedules while coordinating outages and field visits. The role requires strong communication, teamwork, and adherence to regulatory requirements.

You will work with the Project Management department on-site in Jackson, contributing to design reviews, bidding, and construction planning for transmission substations and lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• Experience in Electric Utility Transmission & Distribution preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Construction Group to manage capital projects through the entire life cycle.
• Develop project scope, cost estimate, and schedule.
• Participate on-site field visits and coordinate outages.
• Develop detailed construction plans and identify outage requirements.
• Work with utility accounts group regarding outages affecting customers.
• Develop bid packages and participate in vendor selection.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety.
