Job summary

EDG Inc. in Jackson, MS is seeking a Construction Manager II to guide capital projects from initiation through commissioning.

You will develop project scope, cost estimates, schedules, and manage on-site visits and outages, coordinating with construction and utility groups. The candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management and bring 1–5 years of relevant utility experience, with strong leadership, communication, and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
  • 1–5 years of experience in Electric Utility Transmission & Distribution or similar industries.
  • Superior interpersonal, leadership, communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel).

Responsibilities

  • Assist construction group to manage capital projects through the entire life cycle from definition to closeout.
  • Develop project scope, cost estimates, and schedules; participate on site field visits.
  • Develop detailed construction plans and identify outage requirements to implement new facilities.
  • Develop bid packages and review responses; participate in vendor selection.
  • Ensure safety, regulatory compliance, and closeout documentation.
