Job summary

TMG Construction seeks a Construction Engineer I to support project management and field operations on commercial and institutional projects. You will assist with estimating, scheduling, shop drawings, RFIs, and change management while growing skills to advance within the organization.

The role emphasizes learning the construction process, applying QA/QC standards, and coordinating with subcontractors and internal teams. Travel to job sites within the designated area is required.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or 3 years of related experience with no degree.
• Strong understanding of construction means and methods for commercial/institutional projects.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, email, and industry software.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Manager, Superintendent, or other management roles across project life cycles.
• Create and maintain project controls tracking status, changes, RFIs, submittals, and quality controls.
• Process shop drawings and submittals with SMEs to document construction.
• Assist with change management via logs, pricing, estimates, and change orders.
• Support estimating with quantity surveys using digital tools and CAD.
• Develop and monitor project schedules using scheduling software.
