Job summary

COMPA is seeking a Construction Engineer 1 in Los Alamos, NM for 100% onsite work. The role pays $40.00–$47.00 hourly and requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a DOE Q Clearance.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (ABET‑accredited) or equivalent field experience is required. You will support LANL infrastructure and nuclear facility installation projects, work with senior engineers, perform inspections, verify drawings and specs, and participate in safety and quality meetings.

Impact

As a Construction Engineer 1, you’ll support LANL’s infrastructure and nuclear facility installation projects. You’ll work directly with senior engineers to oversee construction and ensure alignment with technical and safety requirements supporting national security missions.

Education and Experience Requirements

• Desired: 1–2 years of practical engineering or construction experience
