Job summary

The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company is seeking an undergraduate or graduate student to gain hands-on experience in construction EH&S. You will assist project teams in managing EH&S programs on active construction sites, with assignments ranging from safety onboarding to incident investigations.

Preferred candidates are pursuing an EH&S degree or related field. The internship may involve relocation to a remote site, and housing may be provided in certain situations.

Qualifications

• Open to undergraduate and graduate students in EH&S field.
• Pursuing a degree in environmental health and safety management or related field.
• Interest in gaining hands-on EH&S experience on construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in safety onboarding and safety meeting processes.
• Conduct or assist with regular job site inspections and document hazards.
• Assist in evaluating planning/permits (Hot Work, Confined Space, etc.).
• Assist in incident investigations including interviews and documentation.
