Job summary

The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company invites undergraduate and graduate students to gain hands-on experience in construction environmental health and safety (EH&S). Interns will support project teams by helping manage EH&S programs on construction sites and in offices.

Assignments include safety onboarding, site inspections, planning permits, and incident investigations. Housing may be provided in certain situations.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate students in EH&S or related field.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn safety management on construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Assist in safety onboarding and safety meeting processes.
• Perform regular job site inspections and document hazards.
• Assist in evaluating planning/permits for mitigation techniques.
• Assist in incident investigations including data collection and reporting.
