This is an opportunity for a proven construction leader who is ready for more responsibility and growth. You may be a successful Commercial Project Manager who has reached a ceiling in your current company, or someone from a larger construction organization looking for the opportunity to have a greater impact.

Reporting directly to the owner, you will help build the team, establish systems and processes, develop strong industry relationships, and oversee profitable project delivery.

This is not a role focused solely on managing existing projects. We are looking for someone who wants to help build the operation and play a meaningful role in its growth.

What You'll Do

Lead and Grow the Division

  • Help build and develop the residential and commercial construction division
  • Recruit, onboard, and lead Project Managers, Superintendents, and other construction team members as the division grows
  • Establish clear processes, standard operating procedures, and accountability systems
  • Identify staffing, operational, and process needs to support sustainable growth
  • Work directly with the owner on business priorities and division strategy

Manage Projects and Operations

  • Oversee projects from preconstruction through completion
  • Support estimating, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and job costing
  • Monitor project financial performance, margins, and forecasts
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, internal teams, and project stakeholders
  • Identify issues early and develop practical solutions
  • Maintain high standards for quality, communication, safety, and client service

Build Relationships and Support Growth

  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, architects, designers, and industry partners
  • Support new business opportunities and help develop client relationships
  • Leverage existing Colorado construction relationships to strengthen the division's trade partner and industry network
  • Work with leadership to identify opportunities for profitable growth
What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate brings strong experience in commercial construction, along with residential construction experience or the ability to work effectively across both sectors.

You should have:

  • 5+ years of progressive construction management or operations experience
  • Strong commercial construction experience
  • Residential construction, remodeling, or custom home experience is highly valued
  • A track record of delivering profitable projects
  • Experience with estimating, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and job costing
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing and project execution
  • Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, and project teams
  • Established industry or subcontractor relationships in Colorado are a strong advantage
  • Experience hiring, mentoring, or building construction teams
  • Experience creating or improving processes and standard operating procedures
  • Strong client relationship and communication skills
  • Business development or sales experience is a plus
  • The ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and solve problems quickly
Who Will Thrive Here

This role is a strong fit for someone who is ambitious, accountable, and motivated by the opportunity to build something.

You enjoy taking ownership, developing relationships, solving complex problems, and seeing the direct results of your work. You're comfortable balancing the details of project delivery with the bigger picture of building a strong, profitable operation.

Most importantly, you're ready for an opportunity where your leadership, initiative, and results can have a meaningful impact on both the division and your career.

Compensation

Base salary: $75,000 to $100,000+ annually, depending on experience and qualifications

In addition to the base salary, this role includes performance-based incentive opportunities tied to individual, project, and division results.

The compensation structure is designed to reward strong performance and provide meaningful earning potential as the division grows.
