Job summary

Welltower is seeking a Development & Construction Paralegal to support its legal team on US projects. This role collaborates with in-house attorneys, development and construction teams, investments, and outside counsel to manage contracts, change orders, and project documents.

The candidate will track vendor payments, assist with construction contracts, liens, and insurance, and coordinate external counsel engagements. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Paralegal Studies preferred.
• 5+ years experience as a construction or real estate paralegal.
• Experience reviewing construction contracts and project documents (AIA or similar).

Responsibilities

• Supports Development and Construction team with tracking agreements, amendments, change orders, and project documents.
• Manages intake, review, and tracking; handles third-party vendor payments.
• Understands construction process, contracts, liens, waivers, bonding, and insurance.
• Tracks external counsel engagements and deadlines; coordinates with teams.
• Supports construction litigation/pre-litigation by organizing project records and agreements.
• Tracks claims and project data; reports to cross-functional teams.
