Job summary

Welltower, Inc. seeks a Development & Construction Paralegal to support the legal function on US projects. You’ll work closely with in-house teams and external counsel to manage construction contracts, amendments, and related documents.

The role requires 5+ years in construction or real estate law, a bachelor degree (paralegal preferred), and experience with AIA forms, lien waivers, and contract workflows. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Paralegal Studies preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience as a construction or real estate paralegal.
• Experience reviewing construction contracts, lien waivers, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Track construction, architect, engineer and consultant agreements and change orders.
• Manage intake, review and tracking of project documents and payments.
• Understand contracts, affidavits, mechanics liens, waivers and insurance.
• Monitor engagements with external counsel and consultants and deadlines.
• Support construction litigation by organizing project records and agreements.
• Report project data and claims to cross-functional teams.
