Job summary

WELLTOWER is seeking a Development & Construction Paralegal to support the legal function for US projects, coordinating with the in-house legal team, Development & Construction, and Investments teams, along with outside counsel.

The role focuses on tracking construction contracts, change orders, liens, waivers, and related documents, ensuring timely processing and compliance across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Paralegal Studies preferred.
• 5+ years experience as a construction or real estate paralegal.
• Experience reviewing construction contracts, lien waivers, change orders, and payment apps.
• Familiarity with mechanics lien statutes, bonding, and construction insurance.

Responsibilities

• Track construction, architect, engineer, and consultant agreements and change orders.
• Manage intake and tracking, including third-party payments.
• Understand construction contracts, affidavits, liens, waivers, bonding, and insurance.
• Track engagements with external counsel and deadlines.
• Support construction litigation and pre-litigation by organizing records.
• Report project record data to cross-functional teams.
