Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Construction Defect Adjuster in Texas to independently manage complex CGL claims across multi-jurisdictional exposures. You will lead investigations, analyze coverage, and drive settlements, while partnering with clients and defense counsel to control costs and outcomes.

This role requires 5+ years of commercial liability claims experience, strong negotiation skills, and meticulous file documentation to meet regulatory and client standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Adjuster licensing as required by jurisdiction(s).
• Minimum 5+ years of commercial general liability claims handling experience.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and manage a full caseload of CGL claims.
• Drive timely claim resolution through proactive file management and documentation.
• Analyze complex policy language to determine coverage applicability.
• Evaluate liability, damages, and exposure in complex loss scenarios.
• Manage litigated files and coordinate with defense counsel.
• Negotiate settlements within delegated authority.
• Identify and pursue risk transfer opportunities; consider subrogation.
• Maintain proactive communication with insureds, claimants, brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and internal quality standards.
