Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Construction Defect Adjuster to join our team in the United States. You will handle end-to-end commercial general liability claims with construction-related exposures, performing coverage analysis, liability evaluation, and complex negotiations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of CGL experience, applicable licenses, and a proven ability to manage litigated files, coordinate with defense counsel, and maintain detailed documentation for regulatory and client reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Adjuster licensing as required by jurisdiction(s) handled.
• Minimum 5+ years of commercial general liability claims handling experience; experience with litigated and construction-related claims strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently investigate and manage a full caseload of CGL claims.
• Analyze complex policy language to determine coverage applicability.
• Evaluate liability and damages in construction-related loss scenarios.
• Manage litigated files and coordinate with defense counsel.
• Negotiate settlements within delegated authority and assess risk exposure.
• Maintain thorough documentation and ensure regulatory and client reporting compliance.
