The Claims Specialist is the highest claim handling designation within the Complex Claims Unit - Construction Defect (CCU-CD). This is a visible and important role. CCU-CD manages construction defect and related claims involving property damage and sometimes bodily injury. These claims often involve complex fact patterns, contract analysis, coverage issues spanning multiple years, and may involve litigation and higher exposures.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Claims Specialist must independently manage all aspects of the most complex, high-value claims with detailed knowledge, analytical focus, and clear resolution strategies. They should also contribute to broader claim goals through audits, projects, and training. Responsibilities include:

This role offers Hybrid or Remote work options. Candidates near our offices in Hartford, CT; San Antonio, TX; Lake Mary, FL; Phoenix, AZ; Naperville, IL are expected to work in-office three days a week (Tuesday-Thursday). Remote candidates should be prepared to visit an office as needed.
Employment requires obtaining and maintaining a State Adjuster's License for applicable states. Continued employment depends on passing licensing exams within 30 business days of training completion.
Compensation
The annual base pay range is $101,200 - $151,800, based on market analysis and individual factors such as performance and competencies. Additional rewards may include bonuses, incentives, and recognition. The posted range reflects different levels and titles based on experience.
