Job description

Oliver James is working with a global E&S insurance carrier that is looking to hire a Senior Claims Litigation Construction Defect Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for investigating and managing complex Construction Defect and Commercial General Liability claims, including premises liability and large loss bodily injury exposures. This is a highly technical role focused on excess and surplus lines claims, providing expert analysis of liability, coverage, litigation strategy, and reserving, while collaborating with internal stakeholders and external defense counsel.

Key Skills/Experience Required:

• 5+ years of experience handling Construction Defect and Commercial General Liability (CGL) claims in the E&S market
• Proven expertise in coverage analysis and litigation management for high-value claims, including multi-million-dollar losses

This role is FULLY REMOTE or hybrid (depending on location) with a competitive salary of up to $160,000 plus annual bonus. The position offers an excellent career path into leadership or other advanced technical roles. Candidates must be based in the U.S. and able to work Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours.
