Job summary

Teichert, Inc. is seeking a Credit Analyst I to support the credit and collections process, manage customer accounts, and assist with billing and lien waivers.

You will coordinate with Project Accounting and internal departments, ensuring timely payments and accurate application of cash and adjustments. The role requires 1–3 years in commercial credit, strong communication, and proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, and Viewpoint Vista.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 1–3 years in a Commercial Credit environment or related experience.
• Credit Business Associate (CBA) designation from NACM or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries professionally, research and resolve account discrepancies, and act as a liaison between customers and internal departments.
• Set up new customers and job accounts in Vista ERP in collaboration with project teams.
• Manage collection of construction receivables by coordinating with Project Accounting on billing and following up with customers.
• Collaborate with internal departments to gather missing documentation or resolve issues delaying payment.
• Maintain cross-functional relationships with construction operations to support billing and collections.
• Review daily cash payment variances and aging reports to ensure accurate application of adjustments and prioritize collections.
• Assist with submittal of monthly billing packages, including lien waivers, in line with billing cycles.
• Issue updated lien waivers to reflect payments and maintain compliance with project and legal requirements.
• Perform routine to complex accounting tasks with accuracy and deadlines.
• Monitor accounts for early risk indicators and advise on credit terms as needed.
• Collaborate with operations and legal teams to evaluate project-specific risks and contract terms.
• Maintain accurate credit documentation and account records in internal systems.
• Assist with periodic credit reviews, audits, and management reports.
• Stay informed on industry trends and payment risk factors to support sound credit decisions.
