Job summary

Recore Electrical Contractors, Inc. is seeking an experienced Controller with an active CPA designation to lead our accounting and financial reporting functions near Charlotte, NC. This hands-on leader will partner with executive leadership to provide accurate financial information and insights for strategic decisions.

Responsibilities include month-end close, financial statement preparation, internal controls, audits, budgeting, and process improvements across ERP and reporting systems.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license/designation is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Typically 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience including leadership roles.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience managing month-end and year-end close processes.
• Experience with financial statement preparation and external audits.
• Strong internal controls and accounting processes.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Lead general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, fixed assets, and cash management.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and analyses.
• Ensure records comply with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and controls.
• Analyze results for trends, variances, risks, and opportunities.
• Coordinate annual audits and external engagements.
• Support budgeting and forecasting with financial models.
