Red Cedar Construction Services, LLC in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Corporate Controller to oversee accounting operations, close processes, and implement scalable financial controls for a multi-entity construction business.

The role collaborates with the CFO and executive team to drive forecasting, job costing, revenue recognition, cash flow, and reporting, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and automation.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of accounting, finance, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Mastery of GAAP.
• Experience in project-based, construction, or multi-entity environments.
• Experience with job costing, WIP reporting, revenue recognition, and construction-related processes.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise accounting staff to ensure GAAP compliance and internal controls.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes with financial statements and schedules.
• Prepare and oversee monthly financial reports including budget-to-actual analysis and project cost reporting.
• Collaborate with CFO and leadership to update forecasts, budgets, and financial models.
• Establish and improve financial processes, policies, and reporting systems.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, billing, vendor payments, and cash flow controls.
• Manage project costing, revenue recognition, and intercompany accounting.
