Job summary

CFS in Galveston, TX is seeking a Cost Control & Project Controls Analyst to drive financial performance on complex construction projects. You will work directly with Project Managers, produce cost-control reports, and influence decisions that shape project outcomes.

This role emphasizes forecasting, analysis, and dashboard development, with advanced Excel skills and a solid background in construction accounting.

Qualifications

3–7 years of experience in construction accounting, project controls, cost control, project accounting, or a related field.
Strong understanding of construction job costing and project financial analysis.
Experience analyzing budgets, forecasts, commitments, costs, and profitability.
Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large financial and project datasets.

Responsibilities

Prepare monthly project cost-control and financial performance reporting.
Analyze budgets, actual costs, commitments, profitability, and project forecasts.
Partner with Project Managers to review results, identify variances, and support corrective actions.
Assist with monthly forecasting and Estimate at Completion (EAC) analysis.
Monitor project performance, identify financial risks, and provide actionable recommendations.
Develop and improve reporting tools, dashboards, and project-control processes.
