Job summary

Creative Financial Staffing, LLC is seeking a Cost and Project Controls Analyst in Texas to move beyond traditional accounting and become a strategic partner to project leadership on complex construction projects.

You will prepare monthly cost-control reporting, analyze budgets, forecasts and profitability, and partner with Project Managers to review results and drive corrective actions. The role offers exposure to executive decision-making and a path to deepen construction financial expertise.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of experience in construction accounting, project controls, cost control, or related field.
• Strong understanding of construction job costing and project financial analysis.
• Experience analyzing budgets, forecasts, commitments, costs and profitability.
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large financial datasets.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly project cost-control and financial performance reporting.
• Analyze budgets, actual costs, commitments, profitability, and project forecasts.
• Partner with Project Managers to review results, identify variances, and support corrective actions.
• Assist with monthly forecasting and EAC analysis.
• Monitor project performance, identify financial risks, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Develop and improve reporting tools, dashboards, and project-control processes.
