Job summary

CFS in Galveston, TX is seeking a Cost Control & Project Controls Analyst to drive financial performance on complex construction projects. You will work directly with Project Managers, produce cost-control reports, and influence decisions that shape project outcomes.

This role emphasizes forecasting, analysis, and dashboard development, with advanced Excel skills and a solid background in construction accounting.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience in construction accounting, project controls, cost control, project accounting, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of construction job costing and project financial analysis.
• Experience analyzing budgets, forecasts, commitments, costs, and profitability.
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large financial and project datasets.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly project cost-control and financial performance reporting.
• Analyze budgets, actual costs, commitments, profitability, and project forecasts.
• Partner with Project Managers to review results, identify variances, and support corrective actions.
• Assist with monthly forecasting and Estimate at Completion (EAC) analysis.
• Monitor project performance, identify financial risks, and provide actionable recommendations.
• Develop and improve reporting tools, dashboards, and project-control processes.
