Job summary

K is seeking an experienced Cost Analyst to support construction and facility projects in a manufacturing environment. The role emphasizes cost estimating, quantity takeoffs, project budgeting, cost control, earned value management, change orders, procurement support, and project closeout.

The ideal candidate reviews drawings and contractor proposals, monitors budgets and cash flow, tracks expenditures, and helps with subcontractor payments and risk assessments.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction estimating and cost analysis.
• Ability to perform quantity takeoffs from drawings and BIM models.
• Knowledge of cost controls and earned value management.
• Familiarity with change orders, procurement support, and subcontractor payments.
• Ability to review design documents, bids and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates at conceptual, schematic, and design phases.
• Perform quantity takeoffs using drawings, specs, and BIM models.
• Lead value engineering reviews to save costs while preserving design intent.
• Track expenditures, committed costs, and work-in-place.
• Apply EVM to assess performance, EAC and VAC.
• Develop monthly cash-flow forecasts and draw schedules.
• Review and validate subcontractor change orders against contracts.
• Support procurement with scope packages and bid evaluations.
• Assist closeout with financial reconciliations and contingency settlements.
