gpac is seeking an experienced Construction Cost Accountant to oversee financials for multiple active construction projects. This highly confidential search targets professionals skilled in job costing, AIA/progress billing, and lien waivers, with ERP experience in Acumatica, Procore, or Viewpoint.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction cost accounting experience with a General Contractor or Subcontractor.
• Experience managing financials for multiple construction projects simultaneously.
• 2+ years working within a construction ERP such as Acumatica, Procore, Viewpoint or similar.
• Strong knowledge of job costing, AIA billing, progress billing and change orders.
• Experience with contract compliance and lien waivers.
• Cost-Plus contract experience preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while partnering closely with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage project financials from job setup through closeout.
• Partner with Project Managers on job costs, forecasting and revenue recognition.
• Review and process subcontractor and project invoices.
• Prepare and analyze monthly job cost reports, variances and financial risks.
• Manage progress billings and monitor over/under billings.
• Prepare required billing documentation and manage lien waiver compliance.
• Support subcontracts, change orders and contract modifications.
• Monitor receivables, retention and subcontractor payments.
• Maintain accurate financial reporting across multiple active projects.
• Identify potential financial issues before they impact project performance.
• Improve accounting processes, controls and reporting.
