Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA preferred.
• Minimum experience in cost accounting within construction or similarly complex projects.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and internal controls (SOX).

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed cost accounting analysis to monitor project expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Prepare and interpret financial reports, including budget forecasts, variance analyses, and project cost summaries.
• Utilize ERP systems such as SAP and accounting software like QuickBooks and Quicken to record, track, and reconcile financial data.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis, and general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP standards.
• Manage cash flow analysis, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation processes to support healthy project finances.
• Collaborate with project managers to develop accurate budgets, forecasts, and cost estimates for ongoing construction projects.
• Ensure adherence to SOX compliance controls and maintain meticulous documentation of all financial transactions.
