Align Communications is seeking an Assistant Corporate Controller to lead the accounting operations for a rapidly growing construction-focused business in New Jersey.

The role oversees monthly close, financial reporting, revenue recognition, internal controls, and treasury coordination. Hybrid work at the Woodbridge, NJ office with generous benefits and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, General Ledger, close processes, revenue recognition, job costing, financial statement prep, budgeting and forecasting.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Sage Intacct, Sage Construction, Vista or similar.

Responsibilities

• Lead weekly reporting, monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Ensure balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger accuracy.
• Manage revenue recognition and construction contract accounting.
• Oversee month-end accruals, allocations and journal entries.
• Support board reporting, lender reporting, and executive financial packages.
• Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Assist in cash forecasting and liquidity management.
• Coordinate construction draw schedules and lender reporting.
