Affordable Homes of South Texas, Inc. is seeking a Construction Coordinator to oversee home rehabilitation and new construction projects funded by grants and loan programs.
This role partners with city and county program coordinators to manage rehab activities, monitor budgets, and coordinate with vendors and departments. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, and experience with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, plus construction documentation familiarity.
Construction Coordinator
The Construction Coordinator coordinates home rehabilitation and new construction projects through grants and/or loan programs approved by Affordable Homes of South Texas, Inc. The Rehabilitation Construction Specialist also collaborates with the city of McAllen & Hidalgo/Cameron County program Coordinators to manage rehab activities such as communicating with vendors, monitoring budget spending, and partnering with other departments.

This job operates 60% in the field and 40% in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the organization's core work hours, which are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. A minimum of 40 hours per week is expected.
This position may require occasional travel outside the area for training. Employees may also be required to drive up to 100 miles round trip in a company vehicle in a single day.
