Thornton Construction Company, Inc. is seeking a Contract Manager to oversee all company contracts from negotiation to execution within our Operations Administration department.

You will ensure prequalification of subcontractors, contract management, and insurance certificates are properly created, maintained, and optimized to support daily operations and executive leadership. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Three to five years of experience in the construction industry.
• Five years in office management or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keep licenses up to date by arranging payments on due dates.
• Organize internal events and logistics, including catering.
• Supervise reception to ensure professional communications.
• Develop and implement office policies and procedures.
• Coordinate conference room utilization and scheduling.
• Maintain and organize project management drives and files.
• Manage calendars for the Executive Management team.
• Implement filing systems and protect records per retention policies.
• Prepare meeting minutes and organize staff meetings.
• Issue and maintain commitments and procurement (subcontracts, professional services, and closed POs) – Contracts cannot be fully executed unless insurance and prequalification are in place.
• Review projects weekly for compliance with deliverables; notify non-compliance to Project Manager and leadership.
• Manage badges, logs, and insurance certificates.
• Enter and track subcontracts in accounting software (Acumatica).
• Coordinate and monitor compliance training for employees.
• Prepare weekly manpower logs and provide reports to leadership.
• Assist with change orders and master contract renewals.
