Job summary

Arizona Public Service (APS) seeks a Construction, Commissioning & Turnover Manager to lead field execution and asset readiness for its New Generation Construction projects. You’ll oversee commissioning, startup readiness, and turnover processes, acting as APS's owner representative across a diverse portfolio including gas turbines, renewables, and battery storage.

Strong leadership and governance experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management from an accredited college or university.
• Ten (10) years of experience managing construction, commissioning, startup and turnover activities on large industrial projects.
• Three (3) years of supervisory/management experience leading multi-disciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee field execution across the NGC portfolio to ensure safe, efficient delivery.
• Develop standardized commissioning, startup and operational readiness programs across the portfolio.
• Interface with EPC contractors, OEMs and major suppliers to resolve field issues and startup challenges.
• Develop and manage turnover from construction to in-service declaration and final acceptance by Operations and Maintenance.
• Support stage gate governance and ensure readiness milestones are met before project advancement.
• Coordinate with plant leadership and maintenance for lifecycle readiness and long-term operation.
