Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Must have or be eligible to receive claims adjuster license.
• Industry designation or certification in insurance (INS/IEA/AIC/ARM/SCLA/CPCU).
• Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in commercial construction or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes coverage and communicates coverage positions.
• Investigates loss facts and extent of damages.
• Confirms coverage by reviewing policies and documents submitted with claims.
• Drafts coverage position letters.
• Evaluates information on coverage, liability, and damages to determine insured exposure.
• Handles claims in all jurisdictions; involves property damage up to $250,000 and bodily injury up to $250,000.
• Identifies losses for SIU reporting; supports team and provides good customer service.
