Job summary

VIRGO AND ARIES LLC in Vienna, VA seeks an Associate Litigation Attorney (Construction & Civil Litigation) with 3–5 years of experience to join a focused practice representing homeowners against contractors and builders.

You will handle client consultations, pleadings, depositions, and motions, with opportunities for first-chair trial exposure and mentorship from a seasoned team lead. Virginia license required; Maryland/DC a plus.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Virginia (Maryland and/or D.C. a plus).
• 3–5 years of civil litigation and trial experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage cases independently.
• Experience with depositions, hearings, and motion practice.
• Excellent client communication and organizational skills.
• Background in construction, commercial, or real estate litigation preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client consultations and develop litigation strategies.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Argue motions in court.
• Participate in mediations and settlement negotiations.
• Collaborate with construction experts and consultants.
• Prepare cases for trial, arbitration, and evidentiary hearings.
• Maintain consistent communication with clients throughout their matters.
