Virgo & Aries LLC seeks an Associate Litigation Attorney (Construction & Civil Litigation) in the Washington, DC metro area to handle cases against residential contractors, builders, and developers. The attorney will manage a caseload, develop litigation strategy, and advance disputes from discovery through trial.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years’ civil litigation experience, solid research and writing skills, and an ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in Virginia (Maryland and/or D.C. admission is a plus).
• 3–5 years of civil litigation and trial experience.
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage cases independently.
• Experience with depositions, hearings, and motion practice.
• Excellent client communication and organizational skills.
• Background in construction, commercial, or real estate litigation preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client consultations and develop litigation strategies
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery
• Take and defend depositions
• Argue motions in court
• Participate in mediations and settlement negotiations
• Collaborate with construction experts and consultants
