Job summary

Cogentanalytics is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead all financial operations and act as a strategic partner to executive leadership. The role covers accounting, treasury, tax, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, compliance, risk management, HR, and strategic planning.

Responsibilities include shaping financial strategy, overseeing close processes, managing cash flow, leading audits, and mentoring finance staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• MBA/CPA/CMA or equivalent preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, taxation, and internal controls.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute financial strategy aligned with company objectives.
• Partner with executive leadership on growth initiatives, capital allocation, and business planning.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Prepare and present financial statements and performance analyses.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and tax obligations.
• Manage banking, lending, financing, and cash flow activities.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls and risk management practices.
• Lead audits and serve as primary contact for external auditors.
• Develop and mentor finance and accounting staff.
• Evaluate financial systems and ERP platforms to improve efficiency.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, due diligence, and special projects.
