Job summary

Lever, Inc. is seeking a Chief Financial Officer to lead all financial operations and act as a strategic partner to executive leadership in Kentucky, USA. The role oversees accounting, treasury, tax, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting while driving risk management and strategic planning.

The CFO will partner on growth initiatives, capital allocation, and mergers or acquisitions, and will manage audits, internal controls, and staff development in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• MBA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, taxation, and internal controls.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute financial strategy aligned with company objectives.
• Partner with executive leadership on growth initiatives, capital allocation, and business planning.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Prepare and present financial statements and performance analyses.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and tax obligations.
• Manage banking, lending, financing, and cash flow activities.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls and risk management practices.
• Lead audits and serve as primary contact for external auditors.
• Develop and mentor finance and accounting staff.
• Evaluate financial systems and ERP platforms to improve efficiency.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, due diligence, and special projects.
