Job summary

Superior Rigging And Erecting, a long-established crane, rigging, and heavy equipment contractor, is seeking an accomplished Chief Financial Officer to join its executive leadership team. The CFO will shape financial strategy, drive planning, and oversee accounting, treasury, and capital allocation across multi-state operations.

Reporting to the CEO and Board, the CFO will connect projects, labor, and equipment costs to profitability and enterprise value, leading a high-performing finance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• 12+ years of progressive financial leadership experience
• 5+ years as CFO or comparable senior financial executive in a complex operating organization
• Demonstrated leadership of Finance and Accounting functions
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, working capital, treasury, and capital planning skills
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Experience partnering with CEOs, boards, and senior leaders
• Ability to challenge business assumptions with data-driven insights
• Construction experience or similar project-based, labor-intensive, capital-intensive environment preferred
• CPA; MBA or CMA valued

Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior financial advisor to the CEO, President, Board, and executive team
• Lead financial strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
• Oversee construction accounting, WIP, job costing, cost-to-complete forecasting, and revenue recognition
• Partner with Operations and Project Management to assess project profitability and risks
• Manage cash flow, treasury, working capital, and banking relationships
• Maintain strong financial controls, reporting, and data integrity
• Evaluate major capital investments in cranes, fleet, and facilities
• Lead the Finance organization and drive automation and scalability
