Job summary

Bowdoin Construction, based in Needham Heights, MA, seeks a motivated Business Development Associate to drive growth across Academic/Cultural, Corporate/Industrial/Lab, Medical/Healthcare, Residential/Hospitality, and Retail sectors.

You will perform outreach, set meetings, and coordinate with marketing and principals to build relationships and secure opportunities. Strong communication, organization, and HubSpot experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 1-5 years business development experience, preferably in A/E/C or real estate.
• Aptitude for building and maintaining relationships based on trust and professionalism.
• Strong written and verbal communications skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Positive can-do attitude.
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Proficient with use of HubSpot or other comparable CRM system.
• Proficient with use of social media including Linkedin and other professional platforms.

Responsibilities

• Perform outreach to client prospects, design firms, and real estate professionals; track responses and coordinate follow-up.
• Set meetings with client prospects and business influencers, including architects and engineers.
• Follow up with prospects to facilitate opportunities and RFPs.
• Attend industry events to support making new connections.
• Coordinate with marketing on business development initiatives and outreach.
• Attend trade shows and industry events with the team.
• Assist with proposals and presentations; advise on win strategies as experience grows.
• Maintain communication through the sales cycle to help close deals with support of principals.
