Job summary

irex is seeking a General Manager to oversee branch operations and financial performance. The role requires managing a team of office and field staff, driving safety, sales, estimating, project execution, and collections while building strong local customer and supplier relationships.

The General Manager will develop strategic plans and budgets, promote quality workmanship, and ensure profitable project delivery through effective pricing and scheduling. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 7+ years of estimating or construction management experience.
• Travel may be required to job sites and meetings.

Responsibilities

• Fully implement the company safety program and ensure a safe workplace.
• Hire, develop, and manage branch personnel and delegate responsibilities.
• Develop strategic plans and budgets for branch operations and profitability.
• Oversee sales strategy and pricing to pursue opportunities and engage quality customers.
• Ensure safe, high-quality, on-time project execution and accurate billings.
• Supervise changes, bids, and documentation for high-risk scenarios.
• Monitor receivables and minimize bad debt; ensure efficient branch operations.
