Job summary

Express Employment is seeking a detail-driven Bookkeeper to maintain accurate financial records for a busy South Metro client in Minnesota. This full-time role supports accounts payable and receivable, project accounting, and monthly closes, working closely with teams to keep projects on track.

The ideal candidate will have at least a 2-year accounting degree, experience in construction accounting, and proficiency with Sage or QuickBooks and Procore. Knowledge of Procore is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
• Experience in construction industry accounting is a big plus.
• Familiarity with Sage and/or QuickBooks and construction project management software.

Responsibilities

• Lead processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Manage construction project accounting including setup, change orders, and closeout docs.
• Keep data current in Sage—contracts, change orders, subcontracts, vendor info.
• Track construction costs and budgets with precision.
• Process receivables and bank deposits timely and accurately.
• Perform month-end and year-end financial closeouts.
• Partner with owner on monthly cash flow reports.
• Collaborate with accounting firm during audits.
