Bella Kitchen and Bath in Mission Viejo, CA is seeking an organized Bookkeeper/Accountant to manage day-to-day financial records for a growing remodeling business. You will maintain QuickBooks files, run reconciliations, and prepare monthly financials to support operations.

The ideal candidate has strong experience with job costing, payroll coordination, and financial reporting, with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality in a contractor environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Background in residential construction, home remodeling, or job-cost accounting strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Excel/Google Sheets.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance preferred; CPA not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete financial records in QuickBooks and reconcile bank/credit card statements.
• Prepare monthly financial reports (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow, A/R aging).
• Coordinate month-end/year-end closures with CPA for tax filings.
• Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, including invoicing and deposits.
• Track job costs, materials, labor, and change orders for remodeling projects.
• Process payroll or coordinate with provider; monitor sales tax filings and 1099s.
