Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Business Development Manager to own the market relationships with general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms, driving the pipeline and closing testing and inspection work. You will work with a seller-doer engineer pricing and sealing the technical side, focusing on growing revenue through proposals, negotiations, and signed agreements.

Expect regular local travel and occasional trips to Sugar Land headquarters.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to the construction industry.
• Existing network of contractors, owners, or design firms in the market.
• Disciplined pipeline habits: documented, forecastable, and honest.
• Comfortable talking specifications and schedules with a superintendent and contract terms with an owner.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a target list of contractors, owners, developers, and design firms.
• Own relationships end to end; track permits, bid boards, and project announcements.
• Coordinate proposals with the engineering team: scope, pricing, qualifications.
• Represent the company at industry associations and client events.
• Report pipeline and results monthly.
