Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Business Development Manager to own the market among general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms. You will manage the pipeline, nurture relationships, and close deals while a seller-doer engineer prices and seals technical work.

Your week involves client visits, pre-bid meetings, proposal reviews with pricing engineers, and follow-up to move opportunities. Expect regular travel within Texas and occasional trips to Sugar Land for planning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years selling professional or technical services to construction.
• Established network of contractors, owners, or design firms.
• Disciplined, forecastable pipeline management.
• Comfort discussing specs and schedules with a superintendent and contract terms with an owner.

Responsibilities

• Build a target list of contractors, owners, developers, and design firms.
• Own relationships end to end and manage the pipeline.
• Track permits, bid boards, and project announcements to find work early.
• Coordinate proposals with the engineering team on scope and pricing.
• Represent the company at industry events and report pipeline monthly.
