Job summary

CLA is hiring an Audit Director or Manager to join our Carolantaville Construction team in an in-office role that can sit in Nashville, Charlotte, Raleigh, or Atlanta. You will lead audits for construction clients, guiding engagement teams and delivering clear, value-driven insights to clients.

Required: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance, CPA license, and a minimum of 6 years in a large professional services or public accounting firm.

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
CPA license is required.
6+ years of experience in a large professional services or public accounting firm.

Responsibilities

Plan, supervise, and control all phases of construction-industry audits as delegated by Principals.
Plan timing, staffing, and execution of engagements to deliver value to clients.
Lead engagement decisions and keep the Engagement Principal informed of major decisions and progress.
Develop and mentor a trained team; recruit, assign work, and coach staff.
Supervise preparation and approval of the engagement letter; discuss scope and fees with the client.
Evaluate internal controls and audit programs; revise as needed and present to the Engagement Principal for approval.
Monitor time budgets and deadlines; communicate developments and provide ongoing client management.
