Job summary

CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen) is seeking an Audit Director or Manager to join the Carolantaville Construction team. This is an in-office role that can sit in Charlotte, Raleigh, Atlanta, or Nashville offices. You’ll work with CLA’s construction clients, providing clarity into their businesses and leading audit engagements end-to-end.

The role requires a CPA license, at least 6 years in a large firm, and proven leadership to guide a high-performing team and deliver client value.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in a large professional services or public accounting firm.
CPA license certification is required.
Proven leadership and client service skills.

Responsibilities

Plan, supervise, and control all phases of construction industry engagements.
Plan timing, staffing, and execution of assurance engagements to deliver value.
Lead engagement decisions and keep the Engagement Principal informed of progress.
Develop a trained team through recruiting, planning assignments, and staff development.
Supervise engagement letter preparation and client communications.
Evaluate internal controls and audit programs with the Engagement Principal.
Monitor progress, time budgets, deadlines, and report important developments.
