Job summary

M/I Homes in Ann Arbor, MI is seeking a Construction Coordinator Trainee to learn under Construction Managers and develop on-site supervision skills for our subdivisions. You will assist in coordinating activities, inspections, and scheduling to support timely completion.

Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Construction Management preferred, or 3+ years related work experience. Strong carpentry knowledge, blueprint reading, and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Construction Management preferred or three years of related work/training.
• Good knowledge of home building industry, building codes, and construction processes.

Responsibilities

• Attend and participate in builder/homeowner construction meetings.
• Assist in inspecting homes in various stages to monitor quality and workflow.
• Review blueprints for accuracy.
• Assist in scheduling subcontractors and monitoring work progress.
• Act as liaison between subcontractors and management and report issues.
• Perform minor repairs and prep work prior to settlements.
• Communicate with homeowners to address questions and resolve issues.
